The Winter Jasmine is easy to grow, often ignored since it does not mind poor treatment, which it may answer with loosing some leaves. This is probably the main reason why this shrub is so often left to its own devices in life. If you have it do so too, it does not to trimmed, pruned or butchered. It will grow in most soils, in most aspects, dry or moist, sun or part shade.

It will even tolerate either slightly acidic or slightly alkaline soil. It is usually grown as a 'wall' shrub, and is certainly magnificent on a sunny wall where the wood can ripen ready to burst into flower in the depth of winter - or from mid-autumn. We have it growing into a trellis with just a little guidance. A little feeding cannot be wrong, some organic manures, Fish Fertilizer, blood & bone meal will speed it along very well.

With its lax habit it can have a height of 4 ft. and a width of 7 ft. or more.

On a trellis it can go to 15 ft.

Zone 6-10.
